2ND GRADE LEAD TEACHER

My name is Lindsey Kight and I am from the Hampton Roads area. This will be my tenth year of teaching and my fifth year with the Virginia Virtual Academy. I hold it as one of the highest privileges to educate the next generation. When I was young, I had teachers in my life that inspired me to dream my biggest dreams and work to the best of my ability to achieve those dreams. I aim to be that type of educator each day for my students.

I graduated from Liberty University with my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and I am currently working towards my Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration at Old Dominion University. I have a passion for all students to receive access to the academic platform that best fits their needs so that all students have an equal playing field for success. I have taught third, fourth, and fifth grade so I have a broad knowledge on the content for elementary and the sequential skill growth throughout the grade levels.

I have been married to my wonderful husband, Ryan, for 10 years and we have a beautiful daughter named Lily. In my spare time, I love music and being able to create music. My favorite "treats" are coffee, beach time, reading a good book, and Amazon shopping. ;)
